Blogging with Flickr

OK...I'm testing out Flickr's "Blog this" option.

I set up my account and up loaded 5 photos, tagging them as "Navigating New Technologies 23 Things". So far, I have not been able to search by those tags. After reading the FAQs, I discovered that it sometimes takes a couple of days to get them posted because the photos are reviewed for appropriateness.

I really like Flickr and have discovered several of my friends have posted photos there. This is so much easier than emailing photos and I really like the private or public aspect.

One thing I'm curious about...On the photo's page, the tags are listed and the upload date is posted...and below that it lists what type of camera I used to take the picture. How the hairy heck does the site know that?

Scary...just another thing I need to add to my list of things to find out about.

Hi BL,
After reading your blog, I was looking through my photos and noticed that when you look at the properties of photos you have on your computer - it is noted what camera uploaded the photo. I suppose it is part of your camera upload software. Then the properties follow your picture onto Flickr. Interesting point.

I found your photos by searching on "Navigating New Technologies 23 Things". I will have to read about the "blog this" option at flicker.
